Tennis Star Dehana Raanovic Slammed For “Worms In Food, Yellow Pillows” Remark On India

Dejana Radanovic has insisted that her remarks were not racist because they were directed against India rather than its citizens.Dejana Radanovic, a tennis player from Serbia, is drawing criticism for her racist remarks about India after participating in three ITF tournaments there recently.

Radanovic criticized India’s “food, traffic, and hygiene” in a string of social media posts.

After spending almost two weeks in the nation, Radanovic said, “Adios India,” in one of her posts. I’ll see you never, ever, ever again, and I’ll include a picture of the airport.

When Radanovic arrived in Munich, he published another post that said, “Hello civilization.” The feeling can only be comprehended by individuals who have spent three weeks in an environment similar to India.

She wrote, “But I gotta admit that they are amazing drivers and traffic was interesting sometimes,” in reference to the traffic. Everyone is constantly honking, just as in a traffic rush game, and you never know what may happen during the day.”

In response to growing criticism of the posts, Radanovic appears to be clarifying her position in a new Instagram Stories post. Radanovic has argued that her remarks cannot be classified as racist because they were directed at India rather than its citizens.

“OMG, can’t believe what things we really need to talk about,” the writer stated. India was a country that I didn’t enjoy. The meal, the traffic, and the cleanliness (worms in the food, yellow hotel pillows, filthy bed linens, inability to utilize a roundabout, etc.) all annoyed me.

Radanovic went on to write, “That means you are a racist if you come to my country, Serbia, and you don’t like all those same things???” How in the world is it related to racism? I have friends of many colors and nationalities, so please don’t go there—it’s completely absurd.”
